Warm Friday and and even warmer Bloomsday weekend 🌡️

Temperatures continue to rise through the weekend, leading to some early summer-like conditions starting on Sunday.

Plan Your Friday

Friday will see temperatures warming into the mid-70s and mid-80s with a gradual increase in clouds. While conditions stay dry, cumulus clouds will build over the mountains by Friday afternoon, along with high clouds moving in from a system off the West Coast. An isolated thunderstorm is possible over the Cascades late in the day. Friday Night will be mild around the region with lows between 45 and 55 degrees.

What We’re Tracking

An isolated shower or storm on Saturday afternoon and evening remains a possibility, but it’s far more likely over the northern mountain ranges than anywhere else. Most of us will stay dry as temperatures continue to warm into the upper 70s to mid 80s on Saturday.

Bloomsday will be one of the hottest ones on record, with a high in Spokane of around 80 degrees. Temperatures during the race will be in the 60s and low 70s. Sunday will be brilliantly sunny as high pressure takes firm control of our weather. Highs will stay near 80 well into next week.

Occasional wind gusts and low humidity in the coming days will also increase fire weather concerns in grassy areas. Please use caution near rivers as water temperatures remain dangerously cold, posing a high risk for hypothermia.
