EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. — Douglas County deputies are investigating a possible homicide after finding a body with a gunshot wound near Rock Island Road.
On Feb. 1 around 12:10 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 1700 block of Rock Island Road in east Wenatchee after reports of an unresponsive man lying near a vehicle.
As deputies arrived, they found a 35-year-old man from east Wenatchee dead at the scene. The man had injuries from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
The area around Rock Island Road and south Kentucky Avenue were closed for several hours while detectives with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol were on scene.
