Death of 3-year-old boy in north Spokane prompts police investigation

SPOKANE, Wash. — The death of a three-year-old boy found in a Spokane home Wednesday night is currently being investigated by the Spokane police.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), officers responded to a home on north Ash Street and west Central Avenue for reports of an unconscious child.

As they arrived at the home around 11:30 p.m., they found a boy who was unconscious and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Right now, SPD is currently investigating this incident.

But, according to Public Information Officer Julie Humphries, she says that they look launch an investigation into any death if its a homicide, suicide, etc. At this time, the death is not considered suspicious.
