Construction at Spokane International Airport closes east sky bridge

SPOKANE, Wash. – Those parking at Spokane International Airport will enter the building through the crosswalk rather than the east sky bridge due to construction for the next few weeks.

The elevators within the garage will remain accessible, but flyers will be asked to traverse from the parking area to the airport via a crosswalk regardless of what floor of the parking lot they are on.

According to the airport, the change will increase foot traffic through crosswalk areas. There is no set date for when renovations will be completed, but Spokane International says that construction will continue for several weeks.

Construction at Spokane’s airport has been ongoing for several months due to several funding boosts from late 2023to early 2024.
