
COLVILLE NATIONAL FOREST, Wash. — In a world becoming more and more dependent on digital payments, the U.S. Forest Service is offering scan-and-pay at some campgrounds in the Colville National Forest.
The cashless option allows people to pay from a mobile device for a first-come, first-served campsite. All campers have to do is scan a QR-code at the campsite kiosk and fill in the details.
The U.S. Forest Service said that even if people don’t have mobile service while at the campsite, the transaction will be processed when the camper is back online.
The locations that will offer scan and pay this summer are:
