City of Spokane hosts public meetings to gather input for new safety leadership

SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane hopes to enhance public safety and seeks input from the community during the hiring of new safety leadership roles.

They will be hosting 4 meeting that will be open to the public for comments and reflect on the needs of the people.

“Public safety decisions affect all of us, so it is crucial that we hear from people all across Spokane about what is most important to them. This input will help us ensure that policies and practices reflect the diverse needs and concerns of the people we serve,” said Deputy City Administrator Maggie Yates.

The meetings will be held all over Spokane through the month of April:

April 9 from 5:30 –7 pm at the West Central Community Center April 11 from 6-7 pm at the Northeast Community Center April 16 from 6-7:30 pm at the Liberty Park Library April 30 from 5:30-7 pm virtual
