SPOKANE, Wash. – A child was hit by a car while riding their bike on Thursday morning near Prairie View Elementary School.
According to Spokane County Fire District 9, around 9:00 a.m., a ‘roughly 10–12-year-old’ child was hit while riding their bike along West Johannsen Road and North Northview Lane.
Prairie View Elementary School confirmed that the child was a current student at the school, but it is unknown whether the child was on their way to school at the time of the crash.
The child was transported to the hospital with injuries, and the cause of the crash is unknown.
