SPOKANE, Wash. – A north Spokane music studio was destroyed over the weekend; now, Spokane County deputies are searching for the suspects responsible.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, Spokane County deputies responded to several calls of a fight that ended with a car crashing through a building.

Upon initial investigation, deputies say several males assaulted another male sitting in his car. Several people tried to stop the assault before the victim started his car and rapidly accelerated into Voice Works Spokane, a music school owned and operated by Marsha Schlanger.

Surveillance video shows the men continued to assault the driver before he completed a multiple-point turn and fled the scene. Deputies located the driver at a hospital where he was severely injured.

Schlanger had to shut down her studio as broken glass, damaged instruments and some dried blood remains from the incident.

Due to the severe nature of the crime and injuries, Major Crimes Detectives are continuing the investigation. The driver provided some information describing the suspects, but they have not been identified yet.

Anyone with information on this incident or if you were at Fizzie Mulligans on Saturday, Oct. 14, into the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 15, is urged to call Detective M. Melville at 509-477-3325, reference case number 1015598.
