MOSCOW, Idaho – A candlelit vigil will be held to honor the four University of Idaho students killed last November, exactly one year later.

On Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., all members of the community are welcome to gather at the Administration Lawn at the University of Idaho (U of I) to honor and remember Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves.

This vigil marks a time for loved ones to reflect on the happy memories these four students brought to their families and friends.

“This remembrance candlelight vigil will be a time for our community to unite to continue healing from last year’s senseless and horrific tragedy,” said Tanner McClain, ASUI president. “We’ll come together with those we love to celebrate the impact each of these students had on people’s lives.”

Whether with family, friends or at the vigil, U of I is encouraging all Vandals to be wherever will help them most that day. Those unable to attend the vigil are encouraged to turn on their porch or front door lights in solidarity and remembrance from 6-7 p.m.
