Burglary suspect arrested in Ferry County

REPUBLIC, Wash. – A man suspected of stealing a chainsaw on Easter Sunday was arrested by Ferry County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, two men broke into the Ferry County Public Works Shop early Sunday morning and left with four chainsaws.

On Tuesday morning, a deputy spotted a man in possession of a chainsaw he thought looked similar to the stolen goods.

Upon further inspection, the chainsaw was confirmed to be one of the stolen items and the man was booked into Ferry County Jail on a theft charge.

Ferry County asks anyone who has additional information on the theft to share that information with law enforcement.
