Bureau of Land Management looks to hire at least 100 paid student interns this summer!

WASHINGTON — Are you looking for a summer internship to kick start a career? Well, the Bureau of Land Management will be hiring at least 100 paid student interns!

The Bureau of Land Management will be accepting applications from Dec. 8 – 18, you won’t want to miss the opportunity.

“Applying for a job with the federal government is a little different than applying for other jobs,” said Amanda Roberts, BLM Prineville District Manager. “I’m excited to help students from our community get involved!”

Roberts will provide an hour-long presentation to help students build federal resumes. There will also be a 30-minute workshop for attendees to ask questions. These workshops will take place on:

Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.Dec 14 at 4 p.m.

To apply, it will be easy for students to set up an account on USA Jobs so their application can be viewed easily. Anyone 16 years or older and enrolled or soon to be enrolled in school is eligible to apply for any internship opportunities with the BLM.

“Civil service has been a fulfilling and meaningful career for me,” said Roberts. “Our ultimate goal is to give that same opportunity to the next generation.”
