Best places to view the solar eclipse in Washington and Idaho

SPOKANE, Wash. – Securing the best spot for Monday morning’s solar phenomenon, where Washington and Idaho will see a small glimpse before it disappears for the next 20 years, guarantees an unforgettable viewing experience.

Spokane will see about a 26% obscuration and slightly more at 27% in Couer d’Alene. The eclipse will begin around 10:39 a.m. with the peak of it being around 11:35 a.m.

While viewing from your home is a good option, parts of Spokane and Idaho provide a beautiful backdrop for the eclipse.
