At least 1 killed, 22 injured including 11 children in shooting at Kansas City Chiefs rally

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – One person is dead, 22 are confirmed injured, including 11 children, after a shooting at a Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Rally, NBC News reports.

According to NBC News, Shots were fired at the end of the victory parade in downtown Kansas City on Wednesday.

At least eight victims sustain life-threatening injuries, with at least nine children being treated for gunshot wounds. 11 children are confirmed injured. The total number of victims is unclear at this time, NBC News reported.

NBC News said three people are in custody, including one who may have been tackled by bystanders.

The Chiefs confirmed all team members, coaches and staff are safe.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
