A perfect spring day with cooler afternoon temperatures

We’re cooling off a little bit for Tuesday, which will make for some excellent conditions to spend some time outside.

Plan Your Tuesday

Tuesday features slightly cooler air thanks to some northeast winds in our area. Expect afternoon highs just in the low 70s for Eastern Washington and North Idaho, while Central Washington reaches around 80 degrees. The drier air will help our skies stay mostly sunny. The benefits of cooler air last into tonight as well, with lows dropping into the refreshing low to mid 40s.

What We’re Tracking

Temperatures will climb again, and winds will increase on Wednesday. A disturbance moving over the Inland Northwest could spawn a thunderstorm or two in the warmth of the late afternoon. Another disturbance on Friday is unlikely to bring much moisture, but will lead to some gusty winds and another drop in temperatures heading into the weekend.

Long-term, temperatures will remain above average for early May. This warmth will last well into next week before there’s any reasonable chance of a more significant cool trend.
