7 arrested near Rathdrum after tip leads to discovery of drugs, stolen property

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – Seven people were arrested early morning on Wednesday after detectives discovered illegal narcotics, two wanted fugitives, drug use and stolen property near Rathdrum.

Early morning on Dec. 27, Kootenai County Sheriff detectives and patrol deputies, with assistance from members of the Coeur d’ Alene Police Department Community Action Team, responded to the 16000 block of north Trails End Road on a tip for possible stolen property.

Upon arrival, law enforcement located two wanted fugitives, approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine, about one pound of marijuana, two guns, ammunition, a stolen construction trailer and multiple pieces of paraphernalia.

The following people were arrested in relation to this incident:

Jon D. Houser, 64, of Rathdrum, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana greater than 3 oz).Tamara J. Salazar, 64, of Rathdrum, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine).Kerry A. Howell, 58, of Rathdrum, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).Taylor L. Johnson, 25, of Rathdrum, was arrested for her felony detention warrant.Brandon A. Miles was arrested for his felony warrant of parole violation.Steven E. Moser, 53, of Rathdrum, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.Richard W. Landsiedel, 33, of Rathdrum, was arrested for resisting and obstruction and possession of marijuana.
