SPOKANE, Wash. – Three people were arrested for stealing thousands of dollars from the downtown Spokane Nike store from March 22 to 24.

According to court documents, Owen Busch was arrested on March 22 for stealing $1,500 from the Nike store since late February.

He reportedly walked into the store and lifted shoes from the retailer without paying eight times in the past month.

Two days later, Kyler Erickson and Jonathan Olguin were arrested for stealing an additional $1,500 from the same location.

Court documents reveal that the men were allegedly lifting the shoes to trade for fentanyl. A Spokane Police Department officer said that he was told the Nike store is an easy target for thieves.

Erickson, Olguin and Busch are all in Spokane County Jail facing theft charges.
