DEER PARK, Wash. — Two dogs are dead and multiple people are displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment in Deer Park.
According to Spokane County Fire District 4 (SCFD4), the fire broke out just after 11:15 on March 9. When fire crews arrived, the apartment was engulfed in flames.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze and confirmed two dogs died due to their injuries. Those who were home escaped, and no one was injured.
SCFD4 said they still need to evaluate the inside of the building, but from the damage on the outside, they believe the building is unlivable.
The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
