CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — One is injured after a rollover crash in Chelan County on US-2 near Winton.

On Oct. 8 around 10:30 p.m., a response team was sent out to a vehicle rollover near Winton.

As law enforcement arrived on scene, they found a 2011 black Nissan Sentra upside down after the rollover.

The 20-year-old driver was safely taken out of the vehicle. But due to his injuries law enforcement called life flight to transport him to the hospital.

After investigation, law enforcement learned that the driver was traveling eastbound on US-2 when he lost control of the vehicle.

He overcorrected causing him to swerve across all lanes of traffic before he left the road way. Due to the fast exit off the roadway, the car rolled onto the right shoulder.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation, but there are findings that drugs or alcohol may have been involved.

This is ongoing and will be updated as we learn more.
