Zack Zappone declares victory in reelection to Spokane City Council

SPOKANE, Wash. – City Council Member Zack Zappone has declared victory in his reelection for a second term, expressing gratitude to voters, volunteers and community members.

Preliminary election results reported on Tuesday night showed Zappone receiving 8,335 votes (54.57%) while his opponent, Christopher M. Savage, received 6,888 votes (45.1%). Additionally, there were 50 reported write-in votes, comprising 0.33% of the total.

“I’m deeply grateful to the people of Spokane for placing their trust in me again. This victory belongs to everyone who believes in a city where every family can afford to live, work, and thrive,” Zappone stated.

He emphasized his commitment to continuing efforts on key issues.

“Together, we’ve made progress on safe streets, affordable housing, and economic opportunity, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and keep fighting for everyone to have a fair shot,” Zappone said.
