KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – Kittitas County Fire District #7 responding to the Yakima Training Center brush fire said the fires that ignited at the Yakima Training Center have blackened more than 500 acres.
The fires are fast-moving and wind-driven, heading east toward the Columbia River, the district said in its update.
Multiple fire agencies from Kittitas County have responded to the scene to combat the blaze.
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – Several fire crews from Kittitas County are on their way to the Yakima Training Center to fight a wind-driven brush fire.
According to Kittitas County Fire District 1, strong winds are pushing the fire to the Columbia River.
The fire is reportedly located near Huntzinger Road south of Vantage.
