Yakima man sentenced to over two years in prison for aiding in 2018 murder of Rosenda Strong

YAKIMA, Wash. – Jamaal Antwan Pimms, 44, was sentenced to 26 months in federal prison plus one year of supervised release for his involvement in the 2018 murder of Rosenda Strong, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington.

Court documents revealed that Jedidah Iesha Moreno shot and killed Strong on October 5, 2018, after an argument at the House of Souls in Wapato, Washington. Pimms, along with Andrew Norris Zack, helped Moreno in disposing of Strong’s body by placing it in a freezer, which was later abandoned near M&R Towing off Highway 97 in Toppenish, Washington.

Accomplice in Rosenda Strong murder sentenced to prison

The remains of Strong were discovered on July 4, 2019, and identified through dental records. Despite being interviewed by FBI agents in July 2019, Pimms failed to report the crime to federal law enforcement.

Zack, who also pleaded guilty, is scheduled for sentencing on October 21, 2025.
