A company is to sell a “human washing machine” designed to cleanse the body and the soul.
Tech firm Science Inc. has announced plans to mass-produce and sell the cocoon-like device following huge demand at the recent Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai.
The “Mirai Human Washing Machine” sees the user enclosed in a tub, during which time the company says it “completes a full cycle—cleansing both body and mind—in 15 minutes automatically.”
It uses fine bubble technology to wash the body, while biometric sensors monitor heart rate and stress, and calming visuals are projected inside.
Only 50 units are currently planned to be made, with the price expected to be around £288k.
Science Inc. says it has already received orders from an Osaka hotel and an electronics retail chain.
