Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) is a financial institution that is dedicated to serving both its employees and the community. The credit union understands that a positive work environment and a sense of belonging are key to retaining employees. Therefore, STCU has implemented innovative strategies to recruit and retain staff. STCU also recently sponsored and participated in the recent Hiring and Retention strategies event. This event brought together over 100 attendees including industry experts, business leaders, and HR professionals from the local community to discuss the state of talent, employee retention, company culture, and the best strategies to find and develop talent.

STCU’s commitment to the community extends beyond providing financial services.  One of the ways they showcase their commitment to the community is the ongoing partnership with the WorkSource Spokane One-Stop Campus, specifically at the Next Generation Zone, by offering financial literacy programs to the young adults served. These programs are designed to teach young people the basics of financial management and empower them to make informed financial decisions that will benefit them for years to come. This is just one of the many community partnerships STCU has.

By investing in their employees and the community, STCU has created a culture of support and engagement that helps to retain talented staff while also empowering the local community to make informed financial decisions. These partnerships and strategies not only benefit the credit union and its employees but also help to create a brighter financial future for the community.
