SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane County deputies are investigating an incident from October 1, 2025 involving someone who shot a woman with a “high-powered BB/pellet rifle” after an argument and fled the scene.
The incident was reported around 2:30 a.m. at Rodeway Inn at 6309 East Broadway Avenue. The report had claimed that a hotel guest had been shot.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they said they contacted the woman who had been shot and who had non-life-threatening injuries that seemed to be caused by a high powered pellet rifle.
The injured woman was taken to the hospital.
Deputies looked for the other person involved, but they had fled the scene and were not found. Major Crimes Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office wrote that initial information seems to show that the people involved knew each other, got into an argument, and then the woman was shot as a result.
The office said that because the people involved knew each other, there is not an ongoing threat to the community.
Detectives collected evidence, documented the scene and conducted interviews. The investigation is ongoing.
The office asked anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Check at (509)-456-2233, reference #10139988.
