SPOKANE, Wash. – Marissa Kuhen, a former employee at Lil Hawks Daycare in Spokane, pleaded not guilty in court today to charges of assault and child and criminal mistreatment.
Kuhen, 27, faces serious allegations. Court documents said she was caught on surveillance video kicking, throwing and dropping toddlers multiple times at the daycare.
Court documents also describe one incident in April where Kuhen pulled a child off a play structure by the leg, reportedly resulting in the child’s leg being broken.
Kuhen will return to court for a trial readiness call on September 22. Her trial is currently scheduled for October 13.
