The fire has expanded to over 50 acres, according to Stevens County Fire District 1.
Stevens County Emergency Management commanded residents to immediately get off of the lake and evacuate the area to make way for incoming air support.
STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. – A wildfire has ignited near East Deer Lake Road, burning over 20 acres.
Stevens County Fire District One reported the blaze, announcing level 1 evacuations in the area. Fire crews, alongside the Stevens County Sheriff’s department, are actively managing the scene.
“We urge residents of all surrounding communities to avoid the area,” Stevens County Emergency Management stated.
