
LIND, Wash. – Adams County fire crews stopped a fast-moving wildfire south of Lind that prompted Level 3 evacuations.
According to Adams County Fire District 2, the fire started around 11 a.m. on Saturday, triggering immediate evacuations and a coordinated tactical response with mutual aid partners.
Crews said that they worked in heavy smoke and extreme heat to stop the fire’s spread, protect homes, and prevent further acreage loss. By 12:30 p.m., the fire was contained and mop-up operations began. Evacuations were lifted shortly afterward.
