WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. – A man was sentenced in Whitman County Court to life in prison for raping an underaged girl.
According to Tessa Scholl, Senior Deputy Prosecutor, Davis Eneas will face the possibility of release after 90 months, pending a decision by the Indeterminate Sentencing Review Board.
Scholl said in a release that Davis Eneas had sought a Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative (SSOSA), which would have allowed community release after up to 365 days in jail with mandatory sex offender treatment for up to five years.
However, Scholl, the victim and her mother opposed this option, and the judge denied the request, Scholl said.
“I would like to thank the Pullman Police Department for their hard work in this case and their dedication to serving the most vulnerable in our community,” Scholl said.
