Wet Wednesday with rain and mountain snow ☔☔☔

Don’t leave home without some sort of rain gear today. We’ll be soggy more often than not for your Wednesday.

Plan Your Wednesday

Widespread rain and mountain snow move into the region today as a cold front crosses the Cascades. Expect rain for most lowland areas, except for North Central Washington. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the Methow Valley and Okanogan Highlands above 3000 feet. A short break in the rain is possible this afternoon, but a second round of heavier precipitation will arrive this evening, bringing snow accumulations to mountain passes and widespread lowland rain.

What We’re Tracking

Light snow is possible in parts of North Idaho Thursday morning as the system begins to exit the region. Snow will also continue to impact mountain pass travel through Thursday morning. Conditions turn breezy Thursday afternoon and scattered showers will develop region-wide. These showers will be a mix of rain, snow, and graupel. Rises on small creeks and streams in the Palouse are expected through Thursday as well.

A significant warming trend begins Friday. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the 60s and 70s over the Easter weekend and into the start of next week.
