POST FALLS, Idaho – All lanes of I-90 westbound are currently closed near East Seltic Way due to a crash that happened early this morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., a semi-truck was engulfed in flames after being hit by a red minivan that was driving in the oncoming lane.

Idaho State Police say that the minivan was involved in a suspected DUI. Kootenai County Deputies were waiting to pull the vehicle over right before it crossed over a grassy median and drove in the wrong direction. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office was the first to respond at the scene.

Crews are still on scene clearing the crash. Traffic is being diverted off the Spokane Street exit.

The Idaho 511 traffic alert website from the Idaho Transportation Department warns drivers to exercise caution and consider alternative routes.

NonStop Local will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as we receive them.
