CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho – Zachary Smith, 27, from Weippe, was arrested on October 7 following a report of a sexual offense involving an underage female, according to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office. The report was made by the underage female’s father.
During his arraignment on Thursday, Smith was charged with attempted rape, lewd conduct with a child under 16 and possession of a controlled substance, as stated by the Clearwater Clerk’s Office.
Sheriff Goetz of the CCSO noted that the investigation is ongoing and authorities suspect there may be additional victims.
