Weekend Pour-cast: Ring in spring with Wildland Cooperative’s Saison release party

GREEN BLUFF, Wa. — Spring has finally arrived and a local brewery has crafted up the perfect beer to celebrate.

Wildland Cooperative in Green Bluff is back for the season and launching a new Saison style beer.

For your forecast, the warming trend we saw this week is coming to an end. Sunnier but cooler conditions are inbound to kick off the spring season.

For your Pour-cast, Wildland’s new beer called “Brindilles et baies” is made with PNW wild foraged spruce tips and French sourced Barbe Rouge hops adding strawberry flavors. It’s then aged for three months in Townsend red wine barrels.

Wildland is also offering a version without the spruce called “Just le berries”. The brewery will have side-by-side tastings so you can find what you like.

On Friday, Wildland will have a release party for the “Brindilles et baies” starting at 5 p.m. The brewery will offer tours plus you can taste the beer right from the tank.

Wildland Co-op is located at 8022 E. Greenbluff Road and is open Thursday through Sunday. You can find out more information at Wildland.coop.
