SPOKANE, Wash. — A website tied to the online campaign “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” created shortly after , was registered under a Spokane business address before being taken offline, according to domain registration records. The sites reportedly took in tens of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency donations before they went dark.

The story, first reported by several online news outlets including The Independent, said that the website promised to publish a searchable database of more than 60,000 people allegedly “supporting political violence online.” It was originally registered under the name charliesmurderers.com, according to Drop Site.

The Independent reported that the site later rebranded as the Charlie Kirk Data Foundation and moved to other domains before being repeatedly deplatformed by hosting companies citing false registration information and security concerns.

A version of the website, ckdf.org, was registered Sept. 23 under the name “Franklin Hurd” using a business address in downtown Spokane. The address is tied to an office building associated with the Washington Commercial Registered Agent. The site has since been taken down, although its X account remains active.

NonStop Local KHQ reached out to the Washington Commercial Registered Agents. A representative said it is common for people to use commercial addresses or privacy services to register websites, allowing anonymity for business or safety reasons. The representative also said that the person listed as “Franklin Hurd” does not necessarily operate from that location.

Accoridng to Drop Site and The Independent, the site’s previous domains were deactivated by registrars Namecheap and Epik LLC, both regulated by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). ICANN requires domain owners to provide valid contact information and domains can be suspended if they fail to comply.

NonStop Local KHQ reached out to Namecheap for further details but didn’t receive an immediate response.

According to Drop Site, the group behind the “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” campaign raised more than $30,000 in cryptocurrency between Sept. 12 and 14. The funds were solicited to build what the group described as “a highly sophisticated enterprise system that will be impervious to Leftist attacks.”

All versions of the “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” websites are now offline.

NonStop Local KHQ also reached out to the email that was listed on the ckdf.org website, but hasn’t received an immediate response yet either.
