WDFW Police join flood rescue efforts near Hamilton

WASHINGTON – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Police’s Swiftwater Rescue team has been deployed to assist with record flooding in the Skagit and Sauk Rivers. This response follows an emergency declaration from the governor.

Fifteen officers from across the state have joined forces with the National Guard in rescue operations. The team is currently stationed near Hamilton on the Skagit River.

WDFW Police emphasized their commitment to public safety, stating they will continue rescue efforts as the situation evolves.
