RIDGEFIELD, Wash. – The much-anticipated opening of Washington’s first In-N-Out is drawing near, with the new location in Ridgefield, just north of Portland on I-5, ramping up hiring efforts last week.
Fans of the popular California chain are buzzing with excitement.
More than 10,000 fans have already joined the In-N-Out Ridgefield Facebook group to stay updated. A spokesperson for In-N-Out mentioned that it typically takes eight to nine months to build a restaurant, and if construction stays on track, the Ridgefield location could open as soon as July 15.
While the opening is exciting, Spokane residents will face a long drive. The Ridgefield location is about 350 miles from Spokane, translating to a five to six-hour journey.
Despite the distance, it will still be the closest In-N-Out for Washington residents, beating the previous nearest location in Meridian, Idaho, which is 412 miles away.
For those eager to make the trek, it’s a significant journey, but the excitement around the opening shows the dedication of In-N-Out fans in the region. As the chain continues to expand, there’s hope that more locations will pop up closer to the Inland Northwest.
