Washington State Patrol searching for hit and run driver that hospitalized Spokane woman

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol troopers are looking for a driver accused of causing an injury crash then leaving the scene.

The incident happened Thursday around 5:30 p.m. about eight miles north of Colville.

WSP says two vehicles were heading south on Highway 395 near Kettle Falls. A woman in a Hyundai Tucson slowed preparing to make a left turn and was hit by the other vehicle. That pushed the woman into northbound lanes where she was hit by a truck.

The driver that hit the woman left before law enforcement arrived.

The 46-year-old Spokane woman was taken to an area hospital. The truck driver was not injured.

WSP says it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved at this time.
