The Washington State Department of Commerce announced funding of more than $680,000 in Child Care Partnership Grants to 13 organizations across the state. This initiative aims to expand child care services in various communities.
The grants will support community-driven planning, pre-design work and strategies to enhance local child care capacity. The funding is also intended to develop solutions to meet increasing demand.
Many of this year’s grantees are located in rural and under-served counties. The Boys and Girls Club Columbia Basin in Kittitas County received nearly $20,000, while the Rosalie Murrey Memorial Foundation in Spokane was awarded $70,000.
