WASHINGTON STATE – The Washington State Healthcare Authority is launching new resources aimed at improving the implementation of medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) across the state.

These resources are designed to assist doctors and first responders in properly prescribing MOUD to patients who could benefit from them.

A study from Johns Hopkins University revealed that MOUD can reduce overdose deaths by 50% or more.

The new resources build upon the authority’s existing program, aiming to bridge the gap between opioid use disorder and quality treatment.
