WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington Attorney General Nick Brown has expressed opposition to President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard in Washington, D.C.

President Trump deployed the Guard in an effort to control crime. However, local statistics indicate that crime was already at a 30-year low.

Attorney General Brown warned the administration against threatening similar deployments in other cities.

In a statement, Brown emphasized his concerns, saying, “His actions threaten our constitutional democracy. Our imperative is to protect the rule of law and see the constitution persevere.”
