WASHINGTON – The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is reaching out to the public for input on signage improvements for the Keller Ferry, which crosses the Columbia River on State Route 21.
Currently, when the ferry is out of service, the sign displayed on State Route 21 takes maintenance teams up to three hours to set up. This delay can lead to significant inconvenience for drivers.
WSDOT is asking for public suggestions on how to effectively share information about ferry outages. They have made a survey available online, open through October 1.
Those interested can participate in the survey here.
Based on the survey results and community feedback, WSDOT may pursue funding to update the signage in the future.
