Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks public input on 2026 hunting season changes

WASHINGTON STATE — The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking public comments on proposed rule changes for the 2026 hunting season. The comment period will remain open until 12 p.m. on March 12.

Residents can submit their feedback online, via email; by calling 855-925-2801 and referencing project code 7602; by mail addressed “WDFW ATTN: Rules Coordinator, P.O Box 43200, Olympia, WA, 98504; or by attending a virtual public hearing on March 11.

The annual hunting season setting process allows for minor rule adjustments or changes due to emerging needs between more extensive three-year rule making cycles.

WDFW encouraged all community members to participate in the feedback opportunities.
