WASHINGTON – Washington Attorney General Nick Brown announced a lawsuit alongside two other states to stop the termination of billions in electric vehicle funding.
Brown emphasized that Washington could lose more than $71 million in funding.
Brown highlighted Washington’s leadership in electric vehicle adoption and its commitment to reducing transportation-related pollution.
He noted that Washington has stringent zero-emission vehicle standards and mandates that all new passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty vehicles sold in the state be zero-emission by 2035.
Brown’s announcement underscores the importance of maintaining funding to support these environmental goals.
