Law enforcement agencies in Washington and Idaho are ramping up efforts to enforce seatbelt laws over the next two weeks.
The initiative is part of the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign, coinciding with the start of Memorial Day and the “100 deadliest days” on roads.
Tickets for not wearing a seatbelt will cost drivers $124 in Washington and $10 in Idaho. The campaign aims to enhance road safety during the busy travel period.
