Warmer, sunnier Thursday between storm systems

We are seeing a mix of spring-like warmth and lingering showers today. Bigger changes arrive with a windier, wintry system next week.

Plan Your Thursday

It will be a drier, sunnier day in the Inland Northwest. Breezy afternoon winds will help push temperatures up to around 50 degrees! Spotty showers will develop in far Eastern Washington and track into North Idaho in the afternoon. Rain chances will be on the lower end of things, however, 20 to 30 percent.

What We’re Tracking

High pressure builds Friday through Sunday, pushing temperatures into the 50s. Even so, rain will swing back into the forecast late Friday and Friday night.

Gusty winds will herald a pattern change starting Sunday. Gusts of 30-40 mph will be widespread with parts of the Blue Mountains, Cascades, and Columbia Basin seeing gusts up to 50 mph.

This fresh system brings significant mountain snow starting Sunday night, while temperatures cool enough for a winter mix in the valleys and lowlands through next Wednesday.
