
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Deputies arrested a wanted man after a standoff in Spokane Valley that began late Tuesday night and ended early Wednesday morning.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received info around 9 p.m. Tuesday that domestic violence suspect Gregory Talbot, 44, was inside a home in the area of North Corbin Lane.
Deputies said Talbot was wanted on several felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a domestic violence incident that happened Monday.
Deputies said that they arrived at the home around 9:30 p.m. and determined Talbot was inside after hearing noises. Despite multiple announcements, Talbot refused to come out.
Around 2:30 a.m., deputies said that they entered the home and found Talbot hiding in the attic.
The sheriff’s office said Talbot was booked into the Spokane County Jail on felony charges of first-degree robbery (DV) and first-degree burglary (DV), as well as misdemeanor charges of third-degree malicious mischief (DV), interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, third-degree theft (DV) and fourth-degree assault.
Talbot made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
