Voters in Shoshone and Kootenai Counties to decide on school levy

SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho – Voters in Shoshone and Kootenai Counties will soon have the opportunity to vote on a supplemental levy for the Joint Kellogg School District.

This levy is intended to replace the one set to expire in June 2026. It aims to fund the district’s maintenance and operations with more than $3.5 million per year over a two-year period.

Funds from this levy will be generated from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028.

The estimated average annual cost to taxpayers is $237.27 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value.

This represents an increase of $21.80 compared to the previous supplemental levy.
