VIDEO: Spokane Valley vehicle fire escalates, home damaged, no injuries

UPDATE: January 18 at 8:45 p.m.

Spokane Valley Fire Department Battalion Chief Ray Moeckel was the first on the scene and reported flames reaching 20 to 30 feet.

He said all residents had evacuated, and there were no animals inside the home.

Crews quickly knocked down the fire and conducted a thorough sweep of the home to confirm everyone was out safely.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A vehicle fire in a driveway near Sullivan and Broadway escalated dangerously as flames spread to a nearby home.

Fire crews arrived on the scene to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

The situation intensified as the fire reached the home, prompting firefighters to take action from the roof.
