SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is hosting its Veterans Build from September 10–13, inviting the community to honor 9/11 by constructing affordable homes.

The event aims to transform gratitude into lasting impact by building homes for income-qualified Future Homeowners in Spokane County.

“On a week when we remember 9/11, we honor service through action,” said Michelle Girardot, CEO of Habitat for Humanity-Spokane.

Volunteers, including military veterans and first responders, will gather at 218 N Collins Ln in Spokane Valley.

No construction experience is necessary, and all tools and safety gear will be provided.

Volunteer registration is free and open to individuals, groups and businesses.

For those interested, more information can be found at Habitat Spokane’s website.
