VATICAN CITY — Pope Leo has decided not to participate in President Donald Trump’s proposed Board of Peace.
The Vatican’s top diplomat stated that the Holy See believes international crisis situations should be managed by the United Nations.
The Board of Peace, chaired indefinitely by Trump, was initially created to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza.
The Board is scheduled to hold its first meeting in Washington on Thursday.
