OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla – The Idaho Vandals men’s basketball team made a quick exit from the NCAA tournament Thursday, losing to two-seed Houston in the first-round game.
Houston took down the 15-seed Vandals 78 to 47.
The Vandals were in the tournament for the first time since 1990. They won the Big Sky Conference tournament for the right to face one of the best defensive and rebounding teams in the field.
Vandal fans who made the trip to Oklahoma City can now head just down the road to Norman, Oklahoma.
That’s where the women’s team will face Oklahoma Friday evening.
